Dr. Chef Stephanie Michalak White combines over a decade of diverse hospitality experience with a passion for education and leadership.
Her journey spans a variety of roles, from working in small restaurants and pop-ups to managing high-volume operations and curating farm-to-table dining experiences, as well as multiple roles within culinary education. Stephanie previously designed and taught curricula at a teaching kitchen on an organic farm in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she emphasized local, seasonal ingredients. She also served on the Chef Advisory Committee for the Teaching Kitchen Collaborative. During her doctoral studies, she focused on food insecurity in higher education, reflecting her commitment to addressing systemic challenges in the food ecosystem.
Today, Stephanie serves as the Director of Academic Enrichment for the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, leading initiatives that enhance the online academic experience for students and faculty. She also collaborates with the Osher Center for Integrative Health at UC, teaching the transformative principles of food as medicine.
Driven by an unwavering dedication to lifelong learning, Stephanie continually hones her skills to excel as a leader, educator, and researcher, ensuring her impact resonates across the culinary and academic landscapes.
